bondable terminals
These bondable terminals are convenient junction points for connecting single or multiple strain gauges to larger instrumentation leads. It is common practice to employ bondable terminals between the main lead wires of larger diameter and the small and delicate strain gauge leads. The solder tab serves as a thermal barrier, permitting a higher temperature for the larger wire solder joint without loss of degradation to the strain gauge leads. The primary purpose is to provide an anchor and thermal barrier for both sets of leads and make soldering and unsoldering of the main lead wires quick and simple.
Make your own strain gauge circuit!
We recommend that you let us prepare your circuit, but with our gauges, our terminals and wire you can prepare your own test version.
