MP 4X series
MP 4X Series – Flash Mount pressure sensors and transmitters
MP 4X series are flush mountable, miniature, low cost, general use pressure transducers. These transducers are made of corrosive resistant titanium (Ti6Al4V). They utilize high reliability semi-conductor strain gauges bonded directly to the inside surface of the machined diaphragm. The bond and housing make the sensors accurate and resistant to very harsh environments, including aggressive fluids, multi-phase fluids and high vibrations.
Teflon coating of the diaphragm is optional. Other coating options (water, hydrocarbon, bio-fluid repellent, etc.)
In addition to our standard line of Titanium transducers, we have experience in providing sensors made of 17-4 PH steel (1.4548), 316 SS steel (1.4404), Inconel, Tantalum, Aluminum, Invar Plastics and others.
Pressure range, precision level and long-term stability can be selected depending on requirements.
Titanium hermetic headers permit offering the MP 40 series with absolute or sealed reference options. The hermetic header is located just behind the strain gage diaphragm section of the sensor. Sealing the sensitive gauges to an inert environment increases stability and reliability.
High vibration options are also available.

MP 49 standard, low cost transducer
The sensing head is machined out of 17-4 PH (1.4548 / 1.4542) corrosive resistant, high strength steel. High reliability bulk type semiconductor strain gauges are bonded directly to the inside surface of the sensor diaphragm. The brass body contains the sensor bridge completion elements, to which a 6 conductor cable is attached.
Key features: the MP 49 sensor is:

- Quick recovery from large thermal transients
- High pressure over range with no balance shift
- Compatible with all liquids and gases suitable with 17-4 PH steel, which is widely used for medical applications
